Stemreway Beach View Cottage is part of Morrison Self Catering offering absolute peace comfort & and tranquillity in one of Scotlands most beautiful Hebridean islands and only a short drive from Stornoway town centre.
Stemreway is a modernised yet traditional Lewis croft house with a superb layout aimed at comfort. Set in a typically rural village, it has a sea view with several excellent beaches close by. A peaceful, relaxing base for touring, walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching.
Stemreway can accomodate up to 6 persons (adults/children). All children aged 24 months or above on the check out date are classed as a full guest and included within the maximum 6 guests permitted to stay within the property.
A foldable travel cot is stored within the property for use by a maximum of 1 infant child. An infant child is defined as a person aged between 1 Month and 23 months on the check out date. Guests must provided all their own cot bedding etc for use within the travel cot.
As per Licencing conditions an infant child as defined above may stay within the property when using the foldable travel cot in addition to the maximum 6 guests & only by prior agreement which must be requested via the booking request.
Downstairs, the house has a fantastic layout aimed at comfort and usability. The downstairs has a large comfortable sitting room retaining its with original fireplace, a well equiped kitchen, dining conservatory with views of Gress Beach and surrounding hills and seaside, a large twin bedroom and full bathroom with walkin shower.
Upstairs there are two fully equiped bedrooms, one double room with its own private en-suite & built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The second room has two single beds, build-in wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers.
Modern ROINTE Electric heating is installed throughout the property with an additional electric fore available within the living room.
Outside there is mono-block paved parking area at the front of the proeprty where free parking for up to 4 vehicles is available throughout your stay. An additional free parking space is available roadside.
The large garden area to the rear and side of the property is available for exclusive use of our guests whilst staying in the cottage. A outside seating area is available to enjoy the views whilst relaxing with your favourite beverage/ snacks or simply wish to watch the sun go down, engage in a bit of stargazing or possibly watch the Northern Lights when the conditions are suitable.
A clothes drying area is located in the back garden with pegs and a washing basket stored within the property.
The house is fully furnished and equipped to a high standard. We have tastefully furnished the cottage to retain its traditional cottage look and feel whilst still providing all the essential modern facilities and comforts striking a balance between new and old which makes for a very comfortable holiday.
Visitors frequently comment on the superb view from the picture window in the dining conservatory of the village of Gress with its magnificent sandy beach and the open expanse of Broad Bay and the surrounding hills and fields.
Back is a district and a village on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, situated on a coastal area known as Loch an Tuath, or Broad Bay. Back is within the parish of Stornoway, and is situated on the B895.
The district of Back comprises a number of villages, all of which are on the coast of Broadbay. These are: Upper Coll, Coll, Inner Coll, Vatisker, Back and Gress.
The district of Back is located approximately five miles from Stornoway by road, and is accessed by the B895 from its junction with the A857 north of Stornoway.
