Rose Cottage is believed to date back to the 1700's and offers plenty of character and warmth. With heavily beamed ceilings, large flag stone hallway with log burner a guest snug also with log burner and a beautiful beamed Guest Breakfast Room. Bedrooms are a large size and come with en-suite facilities, hospitality tray, hairdryer, free wifi and television. We are located on the High Street just a minute's walk away from The Generous Briton pub which offers great home cooked food.
I escaped the hectic London life and headed to lovely Lincolnshire in 2013 and have not looked back. There's a great community in the village of Brant Broughton and I enjoy great walks with my rescue dog, Rosie.
Brant Broughton is a small village in South Lincolnshire, lying north of the A17 and just 15 minutes drive from the A1. The name itself means 'Burnt fortified settlement', implying the place was burnt down at some point. The very wide main street with many of the houses dating back to the coaching days of the 18th and 19th centuries when many of the residents were based in London and used the village for their country retreats. The Generous Briton pub offers great home cooked food and is just a minute's walk from Rose Cottage, alternatively there are many pubs/restaurants in the surrounding villages. Or, head out to nearby Newark (made famous by the English Civil War) or historic Lincoln (home to Lincoln Cathedral and it's amazing Norman Castle). Europe's largest antique show is located approximately 10 minutes drive away at Newark Showground. If you are interested in karting PFI Kart Circuit the UK's largest outdoor circuit is just a few minutes drive away. Back in Brant Broughton, the village Church, 'St Helen' is said to have the most elegant spire in Lincolnshire. Parts of the church date back to 1290 though most dates back to about the late 14th Century.
