This home has a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a sitting room with TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD/radio, library of books and games. WiFi available. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size (zip/link), a king-size with en-suite, and a family room, serviced by a bathroom. There is a front lawn, a side terrace, and a rear courtyard with furniture and barbecue, and off-road parking for four cars. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels all included. One well-behaved dog welcomed (with a supplement), but sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 1.8 miles and a pub in 2.4 miles. Highchair and travel cot available. Rainbow Cottage is a wonderful base for a Cumbrian break. Note: Water is provided from the Sykeside borehole which provides spring water. It has cobbled old yards, charming corners, and a lovely picnic area where "Frank's Bridge" crosses the River Eden. A mile from the town, the old railway station connects to the magnificent Settle-Carlisle Railway line, a must-do travel experience for everyone.
