Old Station Gardens is a development of 6 private houses in Teddington, a popular suburb of SW London. The house was built in the style of English railway workers' cottages of the 20th Century. The lovely, sunny double bedroom with ensuite shower room is on a separate floor of the house so is entirely private. Breakfast is in the dining area or on the patio on sunny mornings. The decorative style of the house is contemporary with a French feel. My house is a 5 minute walk to Teddington Station and frequent train service into Central London.

I am a retired TV producer, specialising in factual programmes and worked for the BBC, ITV and Channel4 in a long and happy career. I am also a cook and recently returned from living in SW France where I had a house for 10 years and became a frequent visitor to the many local markets where seasonal only foodstuffs are available. It's there I became passionate about using the best possible ingredients. I returned to London 2 years ago to start a bread making business and now deliver a range of home-made breads to Teddington locals at the weekends. I have grown up children and two grandchildren .

Teddington is a thriving suburb of SW London, popular with young families. Hampton Court Palace (not forgetting its world famous flower show) is a 20 minute stroll across Bushy Park which is very close (5 minute walk) the River Thames passes by, there are many coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants just around the corner so there's plenty of choice for a mid-morning snack, lunch or dinner. For more high street shopping, Kingston-upon-Thames is a half hour walk through the park or a 10 minute train journey. Wimbledon (tennis) and Twickenham (rugby) are easily accessible from here, also Kew Gardens and of course, Central London using the frequent and easy train service to London Waterloo Station.
