A part of the house was built in the 1830s makes the North lodge of Orchil a listed property. The interiors are modern and kept clean to provide comfort.
And the lane between the Lodge and the Orchil castle will be mostly all yours shared by wildlife. Depending on the time of the year, you may be able to pick wild raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and even chanterelles and porcini !
The house has a garden spread over almost 4 acres - most of it left natural, a pond, and we grow our vegetables. All around are woods, heather-grassland muir grazing for sheep, quiet lanes for walks and cycling. Perfect place for both outdoorsy and indoorsy folks.
We provide an exclusive living-cum-dining room to our guests. It has a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, french press/cafetiere, china and cutlery. So all that one may need to eat is available, you can happily buy your breakfast items and ready to eat meals for lunch/dinner or visit nearby villages and towns.
Please let there be no on two accounts :
1. Breakfast can be arranged by the host if informed before check-in and against a small payment to cover the cost. But we prefer the guests bringing their own breakfast. Tea and coffee are provided on-the-house.
 2. TV can be watched in the guest living room. The wi-fi works well, and just in case you have any difficulty - Iain can sort it out for you, if you mention it !
Like to meet and help people who are away from home. As I myself travel frequently, I understand the needs of travellers - whether away from home for leisure or work. Life's motto is Carpe diem. We need to learn to live and value each day of our journey on this beautiful planet.
