Originally a barn belonging to the Manor House it enjoys a peaceful setting. Stiffkey offers access to the sea via its famous and much photographed salt marshes and is famous for its Stewkey Blues; plump and tasty cockles, which are blue in colour due to the mud in which they live. This whole part of the North Norfolk Coastline offers a range of picturesque seaside villages and towns, salt marshes, shingle beaches and wide golden sands that are perfect for sunbathing, relaxing or for bracing walks. Whichever way you travel from Stiffkey, you will find much to see and do. Its closest and arguably most popular neighbour is Well-next-the-Sea, with its narrow-gauge railway, pretty quayside and mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafés and restaurants.
