Cecil Villas is a family home nestled on the edge of the Peak District. Freshly renovated, this 3 bedroom home is in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales village of Morton, close to the historic towns of Bakewell, Matlock Bath and Eyam. A welcoming space for family get togethers and the perfect base for exploring one of the finest pockets in England. The Sitwell Arms is a short walk meaning it is all too easy to eat some of the best pub food around after a day of outdoor adventures.
Our cosy home has three large bedrooms, plus two family rooms, a fully fitted kitchen, a family bathroom, and a separate toilet upstairs. The garden is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy your coffee, as it is a sun trap throughout the day and evening. It leads to a private Chalet, an exciting additional space where the family can choose from an eclectic mix of books, DVDs or a X-Box whilst lounging on the leather sofa.
The bedrooms are all on the first floor :
Master bedroom: sleeps 2, one double bed
Bedroom 2: sleeps 2, Single pull out bed - can be set as 2 single beds
Bedroom 3: sleeps 2, Single pull out bed - can be set as 2 single beds
The lounge has new sofas, beautiful wooden flooring, TV and DVD player. There is a large selection of DVDs and board games. The flooring continues through to the second family room which has a large dining table that comfortably seats 6/8. Alternatively sit in the very comfy armchair and relax from an exhilarating day at Sherwood Pines.
The kitchen is open plan off the dining room, with mod cons, including microwave, toaster, kettle, electric oven, gas hob and cafetière. Essential starter items including tea/coffee, sugar, oils, toilet paper are provided for our guests. The utility room leads off the kitchen where you will find the fridge freezer, washing machine (pods provided), iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, mop etc.

The neighbourhood is extremely peaceful allowing you to sit and relax in the garden or enjoy the garden chalet with its electric fireplace for the cooler days.
Local facilities include the local shop and post office where you will find all your essential supplies and a large selection of freshly cooked hot food. The village boasts two excellent pubs, the Sitwell Arms with outside seating and play area, offering a wide selection of meals (including a full English breakfast), and The Corner Pin with its traditional ales. There are two popular hairdressers, one of them offering nails and beauty treatments. Every Monday morning the Community Centre opens for homemade cakes and drinks, with bingo in the evening.
Morton is officially the centre of the U.K. and therefore provides easy and quick access to major routes. Morton is just 5 miles from the A38 and M1. The ease of access from the motorway and the East Midlands rail system (Alfreton station is 2.5 miles away) and the proximity to a haven of rural adventures is key to the chosen location. The walking, cycling and running routes are fantastic, as are the climbing and water sport options available locally.
