Linnhe apartment is one of three characterful, cosy apartments within the historic Kinlochlaich House, which dates back to the 18th century. We are in a stunning spot, between the sea and mountains, near to many popular visiting spots including Glencoe, Oban and Fort William. Please see our website kinlochlaichhouse com for more details on recommended days out and local restaurants. Linnhe is dog-friendly for up to two well-behaved dogs. There is no charge but you must let me know about your dog in advance of your stay. The house is surrounded by wildflower gardens which look over to the mountains of Morvern, the sea and the famous Castle Stalker.
Linnhe Apartment is in the gothic Georgian part of the house, accessed down a long staircase with a private entrance. The spacious cosy living room has a wood burner and looks up to the gardens and a small waterfall. There are two cosy bedrooms, one with a comfy super kingsize bed (or two single beds - please let me know your preference on booking) and the other which sleeps two in a double bed. There is also a well-equipped kitchen perfect for whipping up dinner from some of the amazing produce available locally and a bathroom with shower
The spectacular landscape and wildlife at Kinlochlaich make it perfect for nature lovers, photographers and artists all year round. Enjoy a drink in the garden watching the many species of bird - from goldcrests to eagles - that visit or live in the grounds. Deer can usually be seen, and in autumn heard, and you might be lucky to see Red Squirrels in the tops of our ancient oaks. On summer evenings, the gardens are bustling with bats, hedgehogs and owls. Otters, pine martens, seals, and dolphins are also found very close by. There is fabulous cycling and walking right on the doorstep, and guests benefit from the use of tennis courts.
Abi lives nearby with her family and is looking forward to sharing her passion for the local area with you. She enjoys walking and swimming, and has an interest in the amazing plants and wildlife found in the Scottish Highlands.
Please see our website for recommendations for places to visit and eating out in the local area (booking is essential for restaurants in the village). There is only a small shop in the village so - other than basics - please shop before arrival.
