Walk
Homehill Cottage is situated on the edge of East Looe. Cornwall has lots of steep hills. Should you choose to walk the easiest and quickest route is to turn left on the pathway leaving Langunnett, walk past the end cottage, down steps to the Commonwood Manor, walk partly down that driveway and on the left follow the signs onto “Johns Way”, the path leads to the bottom of St Martin’s Road, which can be quite busy with traffic, there is an unpaved section of approximately 50 yards until you are able to cross the road onto a pavement. The route is all downhill with steps and flat sections and will take approximately a 15-minute walk at a gentle pace. We provide high-vis waistcoats for guests, who wish to wear them for this short section of unpaved road, and they can easily be folded and fit into a pocket. We also provide guests with a torch for evening walks. Walking back to the cottage from Looe town takes approximately 20 minutes. It is all up hill with steps and a short section of unpaved road.
Taxi - A taxi costs approximately Five Pounds from the cottage into Looe. We recommend you get a taxi if you don't like steep hills and steps, to get to town from the cottage.
Shops, Cafes, Pubs & Restaurants - Looe is a quaint historic fishing village and seaside holiday town and has many amenities. The vibrant town of Looe has two beaches, several cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops to choose from, two Co-ops and a bank.
