“A quiet guest house, very comfortable bed and amazing breakfast. Very handy location for us, we went for dinner at Traquair Hotel which was a 6 minute walk. Glen tres and Traquir House were a very quick drive (or cycle) away.”

“Lovely, quaint location just off the main street of Innerleithen. It was initially quite easy to find following the road signs, but once in the smaller path, had to check navigation to make sure I'm at the right place.
Garage is also for guests...”

Lesley & I love to relax by walking in the surrounding hills and alongside the lovely River Tweed which winds its way through this scenic valley. We can often be found playing tennis at the local club (the courts are in the park at the bottom of our garden and non members can hire the courts by the hour) or enjoying the mountain bike trails at nearby Glentress. We thoroughly enjoy meeting the many people who come to stay with us whether it is just for one night or for a week or so and we look forward to meeting you too !

Glede Knowe is situated in what we like to call "Secret Scotland". The Tweed Valley is quiet and peaceful which means that you will have a wonderfully, relaxing stay in our spacious rooms with comfortable beds and far reaching views of the surrounding hills and forests. Edinburgh is about 45 minutes away by car.

The scenery in the Scottish Borders is particularly beautiful. We have fantastic views from the house over the valley to the hills and forests beyond. There are many walks either on forest trails or alongside the River Tweed where you can watch trout and salmon jumping and if you are lucky you will see otters playing. The town is quiet and there is a park with a children's play area and tennis courts just below the house.
