The house is an attractive bay-fronted redbrick house with a small front garden and medium enclosed back garden. The house was fully renovated in 2025, including a new bathroom, kitchen, heating system, and wiring, and was fully upgraded and redecorated throughout. All bedrooms come complete with smart TV, a super-comfortable mattress - perfect for relaxing mornings or evenings before exploring the city or going about your day. The new kitchen is well equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and every all the kitchen items you could possibly need. The lounge-dining area is split into two sections, with dining table in one, a more comfortable seating area consisting of a 4-seater sofa and single chair, in the other. The house is stylish, modern, and comfortable.
Hi, I'm Emma! along with my partner Phil we live in Cardiff, about 5 minute drive from Cwmdare House. We are experienced hosts having run another property ‘Maindy House’ just around the corner. Phil works at Cardiff University and Emma works at the University of South Wales. We renovated the house together and took a great deal of pride into making it the lovely house it is today. If you have any issues during your stay we are around to help out.
Cwmdare House is on a pleasant residential street in the heart of Cardiff. The neighbours and general feel of the road is very relaxed and friendly. The house is directly opposite a beautiful Victorian red brick school, a city landmark. The location: Walking/cycling - the location is perfect for getting around the city by foot or cycle. It's close to the city centre (10-15 minutes), less than 5 minutes from many of Cardiff University's building, including the historic Main Building and 20 minutes from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff and Principality stadium - all a pleasant walk along the impressive 'Park Place' Road. There are a number of lovely parks including 'Bute Park' and a large lake (Roath Lake) 10-15 minutes walk. By car - the house is a couple of streets off North Road, which is the main trunk road in and out of Cardiff, allowing easy access onto the M4. By Train / Coach - the house is 10 minutes walk from Cathays Train Station and 20 minutes walk to Cardiff Central Station. The National Express and Megabus coaches both stop at Park Place just 10 minutes walk from the house.
