Small Family run business
We ( Clare & Henry ) first came up with the idea of starting a small-scale glamping site when we moved to the neighbouring thatched Cottage in 2018.
Moving from a busy town in Essex to a remote Valley in Suffolk brought about a mix of emotions but mostly excitement and inner peace.
As a psychotherapist Clare recognised the healing potential of the surroundings. The healing energy and stunning countryside, offer an ideal place of sanctuary and retreat .
Set in the heart of the Stour Valley and surrounded by open countryside we offer a real escape to the country where we focus on health and well-being.
We are planning a number of retreats.
Retreats and workshops to include meditation, relaxation, eco-therapy, mindful walking, art, music, rèiki, eft, yoga and dance.
Further details will be updated on our Facebook page @longmelfordglamping . We hope it will become a “healing place” for those looking to get away from the stresses of life and unwind.
Now unplug those phones and devices and connect with nature. Listen to the birds and be mindful.
Near to Historical Long Melford and Lavenham
A former medieval wool town – Long Melford’s wide, tree-lined village street is the country’s longest. It is lined with fine buildings housing antique shops, art galleries and designer boutiques. The large green is dominated by
16th C. Melford Hall and the stunning church. Nearby Kentwell Hall is renowned for its Tudor re-creations.
There are many pubs and restaurants to choose from, our favourites are The Hare Inn and The Swan in Long Melford.
We recommend booking in advance as the local pubs/restaurants can get quite busy.
