Cheviot Way Cottage is a loving renovated 2 bedroom terraced cottage nestled next a beautiful church on a quiet street off the High Street of Wooler. This quiet road leads you out to the open roads taking you to the Cheviot Hills, Harthope and Ingram Valley. A welcome pack of wine, bread and cheese awaits you, along with tea, coffee and milk to get you settled. A lovingly restored inglenook houses your a new wood burning stove to warm and relax by. Access to your own garden and local shops restaurants and pubs are only a short stroll away.
Cheviot Way Cottage is owned and operated by Sarah and Matthew. The couple relocated back to Northumberland in 2017 from Fremante, Western Australia, to have time with their UK family and to provide the opportunity for their daughter to enjoy the stunning scenery and country lifestyle. Sarah is a professional performer and puppeteer travelling the world with her performances. Matthew is a professional gardener on a local private estate and has previously worked as a professional photographer in Australia. The couple love to travel and renovate houses and have had a life long dream of creating distinct spaces for holiday makers. Cheviot Way cottage marks the beginning of this dream becoming a reality and the owners are proud to share this special space for others to enjoy.
Wooler is a small, attractive stone-built Northumberland town known as the gateway to the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park. The market town of Wooler is the ideal base for visitors wanting to make the most of the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Situated in the northern part of the county close to the Scottish border, Wooler is an excellent base for a holiday or exploring the surrounding countryside. Some popular natural places to visit near by include Harthope Valley and Humbleton Hill in Northumberland National Park, Happy Valley, Wooler Common and St. Cuthbert's Way. Just 15 miles from the beautiful Northumbrian coastline, you can also discover Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Holy Island and the Farne Islands from here.
