Quiet rural location off the beaten track.  The perfect place to escape, slow down and unwind. Here you can really getaway from it all.  You will be surrounded by fields and trees and on a clear night incredible starry skies. 
Our beautiful cottage is a real digital detox with no WiFi or mobile phone reception,  but there are stacks of DVDs, books and games. 
There is a lovely private enclosed south facing garden for you to sit in on sunny days or on chillier evenings there is a log burning stove for you to enjoy with logs provided.  
One well behaved dog is welcome with lots of forest tracks and beaches nearby to walk your four legged friend.
The Carradale river is only yards from your front door where you can sit and maybe catch a glimpse of an otter or heron fishing its waters.  
All linen and towels are provided as well as many kitchen basics, kitchen foil, kitchen roll, candles, tea, coffee and sugar. 
There is also either a Nespresso machine, cafetiere or filtar coffee machine.
The perfect base to explore the Kintyre peninsula and the surrounding islands of Arran, Jura, Islay and Gigha.

We run a small farm and you are welcome to walk in the fields and woods.  We have cats and a dog on the property who will also try to make you welcome and may come and visit you.
I am a keen sea swimmer and we are surrounded by the most fabulous beaches to swim out of.
Restuarants, pubs, tearooms and a fantastic community shop (open Monday-Saturday) are located in nearby Carradale, just a short drive away.  Carradale is a picturesque fishing village with lovely beaches, and a golf course.
Campbeltown the main town on the peninsula is home to supermarkets, a swimming pool, a cinema and a museum as well as a good selection of cafes and hotels.  Campbeltown, once the whisky capital of the world with over 30 distilleries has now but three and these are open for tours and a wee dram.  The cottage is ideally located to explore the islands with ferries close by and in the summer months, a boat links Campbeltown to Northern Ireland.
Nearby is Saddell Beach where the video for Mull of Kintyre was filmed. We also have a Gin Distillery just down the road at Torrisdale offering tours and a fabulous cafe and shop.
