The chalet is close to the historic D Day landing beaches, to the world famous Bayeux tapestry, to the cities of Caen and Rouen and is just over an hour and a half from the UNESCO protected site of Mont St Michel. For seafood lovers, the Normandy coastline will not disappoint with sumptuous fresh local catches available from one of the many restaurants which line the seafront. If water sports and the beach are what you are looking for then Le Noyer has a multitude to choose from with sea and sand less than a 15 to 20 minute drive away. If walking and lakes are your thing, why not visit Mont Castre less than a five minute drive away where you can picnic and hike with stunning local views.

Le Noyer is situated in an area of outstanding beauty and history. The emotions of D Day are a huge part of any visit to the area with the opportunity to pay respects at one of the many cemeteries and museums in the region. There are beautiful cites, castles and churches throughout the area as well as activities for all outdoor enthusiasts. For those interested in local delicacies, you are never far away from a cider tasting or cheese sampling, for those braver you might like to savour the local Calvados; seafood is aplenty in Normandy and for those with a sweet tooth, there are ice cream parlours, crêpe stalls and waffles at every beachfront and local town. Markets are on each Wednesday in the local town or if you would like to visit a market on another day just ask Jill for the nearest one. Near to Le Noyer are the towns of Lessay and La Haye du Puits with all amenities you would need including a vast array of supermarkets and local artisans.
