« L’enclos des Jacobins » is a master house dating partly from the XVIIIth, partly from the beginning of the XIXth century, situated in the town centre of Saint-Girons. The house has had only four owners during the last 2 and a half centuries, which has helped to preserve the original character and charm of the house . We would be happy to tell you something about the history of the house if you are interested. You can take advantage of all the amenities of the city and easily reach Saint-Lizier on the way to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle with its cathedral, its closter and old pharmacy from the XVIIIth century. This medieval city is only around 1 and a half kilometres away and is easily within walking distance. Enjoy both the shady and the sunny parts of our garden, which is in bloom throughout the year. From Couserans to Pays Cathare through passing over the col de la Core and de Port, there are so many wonders to discover in all seasons. About twenty kilometres away you can, according to the season, admire Lake of Bethmale, climb the col de la Core, practice snow sports in Guzet, have some hydrotherapy in Aulus-les Bains or visit the caves of Mas d'Azil . Of course many walks in the mountains are easily accessible, such as the cascade of Ars, and for lovers of old stones a string of Romanesque churches and a number of villages and castles are worth a visit in the area.
