The Local area A short drive from Kerjeffredic is Josselin, a French 'petite cite de caractere' situated on the banks of the Nantes-Brest canal. It has a stunning chateau and is also home to the Puppet Museum. There are numerous restaurants. This bustling town has all you need for shopping and a very popular Saturday market. There are boulangeries, banks and pharmacies as well as two large supermarkets just on the outskirts of the town. Malestroit is another charming Breton town on the banks of the Nantes-Brest canal. About 15 min drive away. Another popular market town in the area, this time held on Thursdays. Close to Malestroit is St Marcel where you can visit the Musée de la Resistance. A fascinating insight into WW2 history and the involvement of the French in helping their allies. Rochefort en Terre - a must on your list of pretty towns to visit. Numerous eating places and shops abound in this Breton town. Approximately 1 hours drive away the south coast has many lovely beaches, including Damgan, Carnac and La Trinite sur Mer. These all have numerous restaurants . Vannes Within easy reach of Kerjeffredic is the walled medieval city of Vannes.
