We live on-site in the second bedroom of the apartment. We are both entrepreneurs and work seven days a week in Avallon and the surrounding area.
We know the region well and will be happy to guide you and share tips so you don't miss anything during your stay in our beautiful region.
The room is ideally located in the heart of Avallon’s historic center. It’s a small, mostly pedestrian, and quiet street that connects Place Vauban to the medieval old town. Everything is within walking distance, local shops, artisan bakeries, a traditional cheese shop, cafés, and a few small neighborhood restaurants. The SNCF train station is a 15-minute walk away. Free parking everywhere nearby.
Walking up the street brings you directly to Place du Marché, where Avallon’s traditional fresh market takes place every Thursday and Saturday morning — one of the most authentic in the region, featuring farm produce, wood-fired bread, Burgundy cheeses, organic vegetables, and more.
The neighborhood is safe, lively during the day, peaceful at night, and everything is within walking distance:
Monuments: Clock Tower, Saint-Lazare Collegiate Church, ramparts
Shops: delicatessens, bookstore, antique shops, wine merchant
Dining: brasseries, terrace cafés, pizzerias
Transport: bus stop 2 min away, SNCF train station 15 min on foot
Perfect for strolling around, enjoying a coffee on a terrace, or exploring Avallon’s listed heritage — all without needing a car.
