住宿資訊
San Basilio's Red House is located in the old Alcazar neighborhood (Alcazar of Christian Kings) previously Muslim Alcazar. It's origin dates back to the first years after the Christian Reconquest of Córdoba in 1236. Since the last years of the XIV century was occupied by Jewish converts Who were later transferred for healthiness reasons. At the beginning of the XV century, an urban reorganization was carried out, creating straight streets that contrasted with the narrowness and sinous street of the Medina (Muslim urban tradition) and with the great arabic reminiscenses that the houses still preserve:
dependencies revolve around a central Patio with a second floor, generally, that's why It is the Patio's neighborhood by excellence. We can also find:
Belen's Towel (Almohad), Alcazar (center of political power since Roman times), Royal Stables (equestrian show), Puerta Sevilla (defense wall, XIV), Church Nuestra Señora de la Paz (1590), Patios (1921, Cultural heritage of Humanity).
