Højriisgaard is one of the original farmhouses here on Femø, built in the 1800's. Our rooms are located both on the first and ground floor of the main farmhouse. The house renovations are on going during the low season, since 2021. I make all the breads for our guests, and our little café, in my little bakery, is situated in our adjacent farm building. The scent of freshly baked bread, fills the courtyard garden in the morning. Our stone oven is then used later in the day to bake pizzas based on an original italian recipe and italian flour and cheese. All of our breads and pizzas are sourdough based - things take time and care.

We enjoy meeting our guests and ensuring that they enjoy their time here in the heart of the Apple Islands. With good food and warm hospitality we hope that both your heart and your mind feel nurtured at the end of your stay with us. It is our delight that so many of our guests return to us.

Femø is one of the Apple Islands, situated to the north of Lolland, a ferry ride of 55 minutes and you arrive at this beautiful romantic little island. Femø is a world apart more than any other area in Denmark, here there are hills and valleys and a lovely mild climate.
