It's a vacation home for 20+ people with 5 separate apartments, one additional room with bathroom and a large common dining and hobby room. It can be rented as an entire place or by apartment. This timber frame house was built in 1681 and has a reach history. It is situated in the center of Zorge, a small paradise for hikers, skiers, families with kids. Close to many attractions of Harz, 20 min of drive from Ski Resort Braunlage. We’ve just bought the house and we are gradually modernizing the old-fashioned interior. We have already renovated the facade and the balcony, painted the walls, changed part of the furniture, installed Satellite WLAN, flat TV-sets (in some rooms Smart-TV). The kitchenettes, carpet floor and some of the furniture are yet to be updated. The house is spacious and clean, there is everything you need for a comfortable staying, including a big common room with a modern kitchen and a tennis table.

Zorge is the southeasternmost tip of Lower Saxony and lies in the triangle of three German federal states: Thuringia is within reach and Saxony-Anhalt is only four kilometers away. The village is situated on the little river of the same name and has 1000 inhabitants. The Sky Resort Braunlage is only 20 min away. Zorge is a climatic health resort and a starting point for a lot of hiking trails with wonderful views. There is an outdoor public swimming pool, restaurants, bars and a whisky distillery, whose salesrooms have become a tourist attraction. In the neighboring Walkenried you can visit an ancient Abbay, founded in 1127. In Bad Sachsa just a few minutes away there is a Fairytale Park for kids and an indoor aquapark with sea water. Other top attractions of Harz are mostly within max. 1 hour of drive. A little steam train will take you from the Sorge railway station (15 min of drive from the house) across the beautiful picturesque scenery of the Harz. A travel with Harz Steam Railway is a delightful experience for all ages.
