El Jardín de los Colibríes (The Hummingbird Gardens) is a beautiful, 1 hectare farm, located in Cerritos in Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia.
A beautiful collection of native plants, flowers, and tropical trees surround this property, creating the ideal space to attract hummingbirds, parrots, canaries among the 70+ species of birds that visit us.
Swim, hike, rest in the hammocks, and immerse yourself in the beauty and sounds of the Colombian tropics.
Newly remodeled home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a dining room, fully doted kitchen, exterior corridors with an additional dining area and hammock zone.
Pool with 3 depth levels, gazebo, barbecue, kitchen, billiards, hammocks, playground, play house, ecological path, park benches to rest, read, and bird watch, gardens, collection of bromeliads, anthuriums, heliconias and orchids. Wifi for guests (who need to work and stay connected every once in a while) and cable & new smart TV with access to Netflix and YouTube.
Cesar and his family speak English. Guests can, for an additional fee, hire the caretakers to cook and clean the house for them. In a binder, we provide tourist and nearby restaurant delivery information. We are always more than happy to collaborate with guests if they have questions or problems!
Cerritos is one of the most beautiful areas of Pereira, Risaralda and the Coffee Region. The farm is located 5 minutes from Ukumari Biopark -- a new zoo that has attracted people from all over the country. It is located 7 minutes from the Country Club, Club Campestre, 7 minutes from the Plaza de Ferias of Cerritos, 5 minutes from the Consota Comfamiliar Park, 7 minutes from the new Skate Park in the Villa Olimpica and the Hernán Ramirez Villegas Stadium (for soccer, sports and concert lovers), 15 minutes from the Gobernacion de Risaralda, 15 minutes from the Pereira City Hall, 8 minutes from Unicentro Mall (with its food court, stores, supermarket and movie theater).
This is an ideal, central place to explore the rest of the coffee region: the Hot Springs of Santa Rosa, The Coffee Park and Panaca in Quimbaya, the Sanctuary of Fauna and Flora in the National Park outside of la Florida and more!
