We are a family from Munich who have realized our dream of owning our own small lodge in Chile. After traveling the world for many years, we now want to offer guests from all over the world what we have always enjoyed most when traveling. In keeping with the name of our lodge, “Karibuni,” which means “welcome” in the African language Kiswahili, we would like to extend a warm welcome to our guests. Within a two-hour radius, you can explore four national parks, eight volcanoes, 15 hot springs, numerous lakes, lagoons, rivers, waterfalls, and the beautiful Pacific coast with sea lions, seals, and penguins. The outdoor metropolis of Pucon is only 43 km away. The town of Villarrica, with its restaurants and cafés, can be reached in 20 minutes. The nearest airport is in Temuco, only 68 km away. LOCAL TAX LAW

Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%.

Foreign tourists: to be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).
