Intimately set in tropical gardens around a central salt water swimming pool The Black Pearl’s 12 rooms are spacious with high vaulted ceilings.Rooms are a fresh ocean colour palette.  All on the ground level each room has a private patio, a view of either the lush garden or sparkling pool – or both. Kitchen facilities mean you can prepare breakfast, a light lunch or dinner in between dining at a great choice of restaurants close by, many of whom offer a free pick up and drop off service. Or choose to use our poolside BBQ.

Rarotonga is a magical place to  live and work, the perfect little South Seas Island and so easy to get around - a lap of the island won't take more than 40 minutes but usually longer as you will want to stop at stunning beaches; quaint churches; roadside fruit stalls and amazing 'container' cafe's offering the freshest fish you will ever taste FOB - fresh off the boat!
The Black Pearl is located in the area of Arorangi on the sunset side of the island. The Village of Arorangi was settled by Missionaries and the CICC (Cook Islands Christian Church) takes pride of place. The village itself has the only walled gardens on the island - an attempt by the missionaries to remind them of villages back home.
Beautiful white sand beaches are great for snorkeling; swimming,beachcombing or even diving in the lagoon. A marine reserve ensures abundant marine life. Rent a bike, scooter, car, or kayak. Explore the back road for a glimpse of how the locals live - with their Taro Patches and tropical fruit plantations - they are always happy to stop and chat and share stories of life on Rarotonga.
 When the sun has set and it is time to dine we are fortunate to have a wide choice of bars and restaurants offering free pick up and drop off service from fine dining to a beach-side BBQ with the sand beneath your feet - time to reflect on the day just done and plan adventures for the day ahead.
