Take a step back in this unique, tranquil and romantic getaway. 1960’s Valais-style wood and stone chalet with thick, sturdy walls. Fully renovated interior with modern programmable heating and a cozy, efficient fireplace that heats the entire home. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace or take in the view on the balcony. Your privacy is guaranteed by four 65-year-old trees that tower above but leave plenty of space for the iridescent sky and view of the Swiss Alps. People with reduced mobility: the chalet is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or those in a wheelchair. There are steps within the chalet and the path to the door is not paved. The chalet is cozy but 'rustic', in the style of mountain chalets from the Valais in Switzerland. One thing we would like you to know before you book: as the chalet is quite small and cozy, there is about 7 minutes of hot water during a shower. The shower is equipped for you to shut off the water in between, and we suggest you turn it off while you soap up. The good news is the hot water heater works fast and within about 30 minutes, the hot water is replenished, but it's something to take into account, also for washing dishes. All of this information is given in detail in the House Manual, which we highly recommend you read.

Very peaceful neighbourhood, in a fully independent home with complete privacy. Access all winter and summer sports right from your door with downhill skiing a short hop to the village (2 min. by car). For those who would like a fuller downhill ski experience, Les Rousses is a 10-minute drive just over the border in France, with a multitude of ski runs, as well as cross-country, snowshoeing and ski-touring. It also has a wide array of restaurants, shops and grocery stores – anything you may need. Your dedicated private parking space is right on the property. The train is 300m away and is 30 minutes down to the main trains that can take you anywhere you want to go in Switzerland. By car, Geneva is 30 minutes away and Lausanne is 40 minutes away. Nyon, the closest Swiss town, is 20 minutes away by car. It is right on Lake Geneva and has loads of culture, shopping and natural beauty to offer. The beautiful Vallée de Joux with its pristine lac de Joux is 30 minutes away by car.
