Refurbished in 2024 and surrounded by natural splendor, Ardilla offers the ideal base for motorsports and cycling adventures. Close to recreation grounds and nature reserves, but also close to the fashion city of Hasselt with its vibrant cultural scene, Ardilla is the perfect place for relaxation and discovery. Welcome to your cozy retreat! Ardilla is a non-smoking villa decorated in a style that is somewhere between 'bohemian' and 'hygge'. Because the house is located in a residential subdivision, noise levels must be limited, especially in the evening and at night. As a consequence parties are not permitted and noise levels must be kept minimal at all times. In the morning you wake up surrounded by nature and serenity. But once the urge for adventure strikes, you'll be just steps away from the vibrant activities and sights this region has to offer. Ardilla is located in the vicinity of race track Terlaemen, where Formula 1 was once at home. Today, the track focuses on a range of activities, from motorsport to cycling and BMX. The outdoor swimming pool Terlaemen is only 600m from the house. The touristic Bolderberg is 2 km from the house. This village is known for its brasseries and cafes with outdoor terraces and for the nature reserve "Domein Bovy" and nature park "the Wijers". You'll find also takeaways nearby. After booking, you can get a comprehensive overview of local/recreational facilities, walking and biking trails, attractions and restaurants. There are maps and brochures available in the house. PS: 'Ardilla' is the Spanish word for squirrel. We don't have Spanish roots but thought it sounded nicely and it refers to our friendly neighbors, the squirrels. Welcome to our vacation home, owned by an East Flemish couple with a special affection for Limburg. Ardilla got renovated with a view to creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that we hope will capture your heart. We were attracted by the unique location of the house, in an idyllic dead-end street where the spacious plots with considerable distances from the plot boundary ensure that you can enjoy privacy and tranquility without being right next to the neighbors. It is the perfect combination of tranquility and proximity to all the treasures that Limburg has to offer.

Hasselt is known as a fashion city and you can shop to the fullest. Here you will find numerous restaurants and terraces, museums, the Japanese Garden, ... From gourmet dining to a trendy cocktail bar, there is no shortage of choice in the area ! A glass of wine tasting or a few holes on the golf course? It's all nearby. A few minutes' walk through the quiet residential neighborhood will connect you to multiple hiking trails and the De Wijers nature reserve. On the race track Terlaemen you can enjoy motorbikes, cars and trucks. Consult the event calendar ! During training moments, you have to take into account the noise of engines during the day. In the evening, there is only one race a year, namely during the 24 Hours of Zolder in August. Cycling: Ardilla is located close to the F5 cycle highway and the cycle route network, in the vicinity of junction 302. From this central location you cycle to the ponds of Central Limburg, the orchards of Haspengouw, the Kempen forests of North Limburg and the hills of the Hageland. If you are an avid track cyclist, don't forget to try out evening cycling on the race track. But there is also the Velodrome which claims to be one of the fastest in the world ! And if that's not enough, you can cycle through the water on the Bokrijk domain (15 km) and through the tree tops on the Molenheide domain (20 km). Hiking A few minutes' walk through the quiet residential area or the forest, connects you to several hiking trails and brings you to the Bovy hiking park.
