This elevated apartment on ground level was built in 2018 using exceptional insulation including double glazing throughout. It is solar passive, meaning it is cool in summer and cozy in winter, so needs minimal heating and cooling. However, electric heating or cooling is readily available. The property has solar panels, a battery power supply, and uses rainwater at all internal sinks, including a filtered tap for drinking water. Please note that the cash damage deposit is discretionary for the host to apply if deemed necessary, but it has to date never been applied. No guest has yet incurred damage to warrant it.
There are large view windows and there are outdoor living areas just for guests, overlooking the neighbourhood and parts of Lake Albert.
There is TV in the main bedroom, and in the living room. The guest entrance off the visitor car port is not shared. No indoor amenity is shared. The hosts usually reside in the upper level, so when home can provide customer service. If away during your visit, they will provide assistance remotely by communication media.
The bathroom has a tub type shower base, so can be used for bathing children. There is a bidet spray for use on the toilet. The bathroom floor can be heated. There are two doors leading to outdoor areas from the living room, and one from the queen bedroom.
The property is two doors away from a district hospital with Emergency and a private clinic.
About 100 meters away is a sports oval with a children's playground, an all hours gymnasium, and five sports clubs.

As grandparents, we understand children and their parents, plus we relate to singles, LGBTQ+, people of different colours or cultures and working people. We care about guests with special needs, for example mobility or compromised immunity, but ask that such needs be made known to us before arrival, so that we can prepare accordingly.
Meningie is near the unique Coorong lagoon and Lower Lakes, an internationally renowned wilderness habitat, and we are keen to show and share this area with others.

The attractions around here include water sports, fishing and other activities associated with lakes, lagoons and the ocean. Not far away is a 130 km long uninterrupted sandy beach washed by the Great Southern Ocean. Also bush walks, a golf course, bowling green, a footy oval and children's playgrounds are nearby. A boat ramp is 500 m from the door, where one can catch shrimps and yabbies and watch pelicans.
The neighbourhood is residential and generally very quiet, so noisy nighttime activities are avoided. Healthcare and a hospital emergency facility are only meters away. There is a choice of restaurants and take-away outlets, bottle shops, pub and a supermarket in walking distance. It is a short drive to the Coorong National Park. Tours of local places of interest can be arranged, such as a guided boat adventure on the Coorong lagoon, a museum, wells, barrages, woolsheds, farms, an inland lighthouse, an international motorsport park and beaches.
