Ben Boyle is the founder of Tranquil Point .   Ben is a local from the Huon Valley and spent his childhood and teenage years in Deep Bay, just across the water from Tranquil Point, before joining the Australian Army.  After graduating from the Australian Defence Force Academy and The Royal Military College, Duntroon, he was posted to the Infantry Corps.  He gained much life experience in his 13 years service and operated in many locations around Australia and overseas including East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Iraq. Ben retired his service life as a Captain.   Afterwards, he owned and operated a successful real estate business in Brisbane for five years.
Ben travelled extensively around the world to South America, Asia, Europe to Antarctica. Over the 3 years of his travels, his values of what was important to have in his daily life were clean air, organic produce and Bikram Yoga. The result - Tranquil Point. 
Ben enjoys working in Tranquil Point’s organic vegetable, working with timber and fishing.  He appreciates listening to guests and sharing the odd story or two of his life. 
Ben established Tranquil Point as a place where guests can disconnect from the stresses of their everyday world in order to reconnect with themselves to discover their own path.

Set in one of the most pristine locations in the world, Tranquil Point is located in Tasmania’s picturesque Huon Valley on the magnificent waters of Deep Bay, just outside the township of Cygnet.   Tranquil Point is an hour’s drive south of Hobart’s International airport. 
Situated on 3 acres, Tranquil Point boasts stunning 270 degree ocean views, clean air, private beaches, Bikram Yoga school,  organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard all with the glorious back drop of the Hartz mountains.  It is the perfect place to calm your mind, balance your body and re-energise from the stresses of everyday life.
 
The homestead offers 6 light filled and comfortable guest rooms, 3 bathrooms accommodating up to 15 guests.   Tranquil Point focuses on sustainability through renewable energy resources such as solar power and water supply from rain water tanks. There is also a large garden bed with seasonal produce to use when available.

The Huon Valley has many interesting tourist attractions and places to visit, including Bruny island, the Tahune Airwalk, Hartz National Park and Hasting Caves.
