Roosters Rest is situated on the outskirts of Port Sorell amid attractive gardens and surrounded by five acres of natural bush land. Wallabies and bandicoots can be seen in the evening and love some apple and carrot for a treat.

You can start the Food and Wine Trail at Ghost Rock Winery and visit Anvers Chocolates, Ashgrove Cheese, Spreyton Cide to name but a few the region has to offer.
Cradle Mountain is only one and a half hours drive and Launceston an hour. Both ideal for a day out!
There is a lovely Barbeque area so you can relax outside under the shady trees or just chill out on your own verandah.

Port Sorell is renowned throughout Tasmania for its Golden Beaches. The Rubicon Estuary is perfect for families with wide beaches,rocks to climb, jetty to fish from and a boat ramp.
Twenty minutes to the other side is Narawantapu National Park which is home to numerous Wallabies and Kangaroos. There are some great walks through sand dunes, hills to climb with magnificent views and Bakers Beach where you can feel like Robinson Crusoe.
For the family there is Tasmazia not far, Cmax picture theatre, Pandemonim for wet days and the Don Railway.
Roosters Rest is five minutes from Woolworths and IGA supermarkets, fruit shops, bakeries, coffee shops and takeaway shops.
The Shearwater resort is nearby for meals and Golf.
