It is located on the World Heritage listed Fraser Island, near Great Sandy Strait. The eco-friendly resort offers spacious self-contained villas and air-conditioned hotel rooms. Accommodations feature a balcony, offering fantastic views of the natural surroundings. Kingfisher Bay Resort features 4 swimming pools, each fitted with sun loungers. Guests can also take advantage of the eco-tours provided by Kingfisher's knowledgeable staff. The resort is a 50-minute ferry crossing from River Heads in Hervey Bay.

Resort Hotel accommodation requires a security deposit of $200 for incidentals during your stay. In the event that accommodation or transfers were not prepaid, the value of the stay and transfers will be held as a payment in addition to $200 for incidentals. Villas require a security deposit of $300 for incidentals during your stay. If no credit card is available, a cash or debit card payment can be made on check in to the same amount with a refund of the difference on check out.
