The home is casual, comfortable, stylish and welcoming, and has a lovely north facing deck with spa, spectacular views and direct frontage to the Kangaroo River. Please also note that there is no BBQ at The Sleepy Roo. Take great care with children! The river access is unfenced and whilst it is some distance from the house, the river rises quickly and flows very rapidly after rain. Where will I be? The Sleepy Roo is right in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley village. You can walk to the bridge, the town centre, the pub or the service station and its food truck. It is a lovely home in a central location, with the added bonus of direct, private river frontage. Why choose The Sleepy Roo? The Sleepy Roo is a clever and stylish renovation of a traditional cottage into a home that is attractive, comfortable, air-conditioned and designed for indoor / outdoor entertaining - complete with a spa, large deck, views, river frontage, mature trees for shade and lovely lawn areas. It is a perfect home away from home for up to 4 guests. How is the property laid out? The home is all on one level and has 2 queen bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a claw foot cast iron bath), a kitchen and laundry, and of course a dining and living room. The home effortlessly flows out onto the large deck, spa area, and lovely lawns that slope down to the private river frontage.

Surrounded by beautiful escarpments, Kangaroo Valley is a historic town just two hours from Sydney. Stroll down the main street to discover cafes, shops, historic buildings and the famous Pioneer Village Museum. The Hampden Bridge, with its impressive Victorian sandstone towers, is Australia's last surviving wooden suspension bridge. Bush walks, unique rainforests and winding creeks will keep nature lovers satisfied, while adventurers can abseil the spectacular gorges or paddle along the picturesque Kangaroo River. The Southern Highlands and its wineries are a short drive away, as is the Shoalhaven with its pristine beaches. There really is something for everyone in Kangaroo Valley!
