Kleinod Kirchensteig is peacefully tucked away in nature – and yet just a short walk from the heart of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our two exclusive self-catering apartments were lovingly restored and offer a charming, comfortable and authentic retreat surrounded by vineyards and apricot orchards. What makes our place truly special is the unique setting: both apartments have direct access to our private apricot garden, which flows seamlessly into the surrounding vineyards. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the iconic Weißenkirchen church – a postcard scene you’ll never tire of. Each apartment is around 33 m² and smartly divided into a separate bedroom and a cozy living-dining area. You'll find a modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, cooktop, coffee machine and kettle, plus TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a wood-burning stove to keep things warm and cozy. Outside, a private terrace with dining table and seating area invites you to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening sun. Our guests especially appreciate the tranquil atmosphere, the personal touches, and the lovingly designed garden – surrounded by nature, birdsong, apricot trees, and vines. And with a bit of luck, you might even collect your own breakfast egg – our chickens live in a nearby garden (don’t worry – not directly by the apartments 😊). Please note: Our Kleinod is not wheelchair accessible – access to the apartments requires climbing a few steps, and cars cannot drive directly to the door. However, you're welcome to unload your luggage nearby and then park for free at the local train station or in the village (some parking soon to be paid). In return, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Wachau – with hiking trails, bike paths, wine taverns, boat rides and a natural beach all within easy walking or cycling distance. We’ve been living in Weißenkirchen for five years now and have truly fallen in love with this place. With great attention to detail, we renovated two old apartments and turned them into the Kleinod Kirchensteig – a peaceful retreat nestled between apricot orchards and vineyards, with postcard-worthy views of the church.
