Gruß Gott & hello! For those who don’t know us yet, we would like to introduce ourselves! We are Johannes and Gerkje Taekema. Proud parents of 6 children and 3 lovely grandchildren. For years we have been talking about moving abroad. When the children were all grown up and started to have lives of their own, that dream became actually possible. Because we have been traveling to Austria for years, we have fallen in love with this beautiful country. Therefore the choice to move to Austria had been made quite quickly. We came across Haus Berkhout appartments. A nice apartment house with 4 apartments that we rent throughout the year! Haus Taekema is a beautiful apartment house with 4 apartments suitable for 2 to 6 people. The apartments are rented all year round and are of course fully equipped. Haus Taekema is quietly located yet within ten minutes of both the center of Feldkirchen and Sankt Veit where you can do daily groceries. From the apartment house you can find a wide range of attractions including the Wörthersee and the Ossiachersee. But also the Italian and Slovenian border are close. Do you want to enjoy a wonderful summer or a beautiful winter in Carinthia? Then you're at the right place!

Austria is by definition a versatile holiday destination. There are few countries that are so popular throughout the year, among other things because of the climate. And when we say Carinthia, of course we think of the beautiful lakes and their many beaches, but also the Pyramid bullet, Minimundus, Reisseck, Malta Hochalmstraße, Adelaarschow, the old town of Klagenfurt and St. Veit with its many beautiful buildings. The province of Carinthia is therefore seen as a piece of Italy in Austria. Life is 'Dolce'. On average, temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees. If you want to go skiing, Carinthia is a beautiful ski area with several beautiful downhill runs. The villages and towns are in a cozy winter atmosphere and of course there are several winter markets. If you do not want to ski for a day, the Thermalbad in Badkleinkircheim is also a nice getaway. Of course you can also enjoy a day to Klagenfurt or Villach. In winter, the ski areas are the SimonHöhe 15 minutes, Gerlitzen 25 minutes and the TurracherHöhe 40 minutes from Haus Berkhout.
