Haka House Bay of Islands is a welcoming and stylish hostel located just across from the scenic Paihia wharf, offering cosy, practical accommodations with million-dollar views of the stunning... Genuinely the friendliest and most personable hostel staff that I have encountered in Aotearoa New Zealand so far! They also have the nicest view from the kitchen/lounge windows that I have seen so far. The hostel isn't very big and therefore has a calm atmosphere, no problems with noise.

Under new management from mid 2022 and just 80 metres from Paihia Beach, Peppertree Lodge features a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Essendo una struttura on budget appare abbastanza modesta e semplice ma garantisce ottimi livelli di pulizia e risulta alla fine confortevole. L'ostello Cell Block Backpackers è una locanda messicana ristrutturata con barbecue e giardino. Loved that it was unique! Loved the people and the owners, super friendly and everything was easy and accessible, they also had cats so it was nice cuddling up with them especially with me being away from home and missing my own.

Centabay Lodge offers budget accommodation right in the centre of Paihia. Choose from a bed in one of the spacious dormitory rooms or stay in a private room to suit your budget. Centabay is in the best location, close to everything in town. It has a comfortable, laid back atmosphere, with a spa, hammocks, and a great shady patio surrounded by plants. They even offer Kayaks for hire at a great price.
