I have to add that I booked a single room and therefore was moved to the neighboring Continental Park Hotel. So just something to take into account.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. i had to check in late due to a late night train, but the staffs were super helpful in ensuring that i manage to check in by myself. got a shared dorm all by myself and i thought the staffs were very considerate because i was pretty worried that i would wake the roommate during late night if i had one.

Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).

Set in the historical city centre of Bellinzona, Youth Hostel Bellinzona is just 500 metres from The Three Castles of Bellinzona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hostel serves a buffet breakfast. Thank you very much, I had a wonderful stay at the hostel! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and fellow travelers from all over the world. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing or meeting new people. The location was convenient, close to public transport and local attractions. Overall, it was a cozy, affordable, and memorable experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

L'EasyRooms è situato nel cuore di Locarno, proprio accanto all'Hotel dell'Angelo in Piazza Grande, e dista pochi passi dalla stazione ferroviaria, dai negozi e dal Lago Maggiore. Quite a nice hotel, pretty close to the train station and the lake. The restaurant underneath is really good, and the rooms are well kept and clean.
