Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Very clean rooms and shared space. The shared showers and bathrooms are modern and allow for privacy - we didn't feel like being in a hostel at all. AC was available and working well - very necessary in the hot summer months.

This is a clean, well-run guesthouse with friendly staff and a café where you order on a machine - the café doesn't take cash but did accept my foreign card with no issues. This guesthouse is a great budget option compared to the spa hotels in Toyako Onsen. There's a list in the café of the onsens in the town that you can visit with details like prices and opening times. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The hostel's location is good. It is very convenient to have a bathroom and a sink in the room. The storage space under the bed is quite spacious. The common areas are fairly clean.

A great location near the local restaurants, bars, hot springs, etc. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed me to store my bike inside the lobby. They were very friendly and recommended me some great places to eat and drink in the area. Overall, a chill place to stay if you're looking for a hostel. I was also the only guest in the hostel so it seemed like I had the place to myself.
