Manoji and Manitha are amazing people — so kind and truly wonderful hosts. The room I stayed in was excellent and very comfortable. Be sure to try Manoji’s delicious breakfast!

A nice, quiet place to stay in the Cinnamon Gardens away from the frenetic city center. The rooms are large and bright and the house is lovely. The host is very wonderful and helpful, a delight to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay there. We’d be happy to stay there again on our next trip to Sri Lanka. There is not much to eat around the guest house, it is a quiet residential neighborhood with sports fields and offices and such. It is quite pleasant to walk around. A 200-300 rupee tuk tuk ride will bring you to several places to eat, bank etc. We highly, highly recommend eating at Ran Bath Organic which was recommended to us by the host. The food there is perhaps the best we had in our entire trip. Also, a short walk up Maitland is the Glomark supermarket where you can find a wide range of items, as well as alcohol and a pharmacy. Upstairs is a small food court. The food doesn’t really stand out, but if you don’t want to go very far to get something to eat, that’s the place to go. Skip the laundry at the side, it’s very expensive and very slow.

The owner is such a kind and helpful person. She makes traditional local breakfasts, you should definitely opt for. Their house is in a quiet street, which is something to say in Colombo. I had a clean and pleasent room with a king-sized bed. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this accomodation.

The staff working here are doing such a great job of protecting the legacy. They were very friendly and answered all our questions. Location is great and quiet and the room is clean and comfortable.

Set in Colombo on a private peninsula by the banks of the historic Diyawanna Lake, Aathma Colombo House provides accommodation with a garden. Aathma is a feast for the eyes and the heart. The setting is so lovely with lake views and peaceful gardens. As others have said there is always something new, beautiful or quirky to catch your eye. The hotel feels like a treasured family home in which you are an honoured guest. The staff are excellent, so professional and competent but friendly and fun as well. Bohoma stoothi Imran and Geeth for your outstanding care of us. The food was also some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka.

Facilities were superb. Hosts were so friendly and helpful, chatted with them and became friends. Pool was amazing, room was so spacious with a great bed and bathroom. Breakfasts were fantastic, freshly made Sri Lankan food and fruit.

The vibe was cozy and comfortable and very relaxing. Gamini was the perfect host and made sure everything was smooth and enjoyable. Max was a joy and made the place seem so much more homely.
