This place was amazing and it truly felt like authentic old school Japan! The owners were amazing and kept our bags while we hiked Fuji. They also let us take a shower back. True hospitality!! They have been hosting hikers for 3 generations!

Guest House Zen se nachází u moře v destinaci Yamanakako. Fuji-Q Highland se nachází 18 km daleko a Jezero Kawaguči 21 km. Excellent facility, the set up is so relaxed, the owner is sooo cool. We fed the couple of swans and a few ducks that were out on the waterfront, the view is out of this world. We drove and the parking was easy to negotiate the location position it is not noisy and you can hear the water birds and other birds chirping. As the name says (ZEN) it truely is. Also the convenience store is only about 8 minutes walk away. Coming back from the store we visited a shrine that was having its annual summer festivities, kids were doing a Sumo fight next to the temple, the staff at the temple were inviting, also the men of the town were carrying a traditional Japanese float around the town then back to temple, up the stairs under Tori gate and to the front of the temple, ( the float is very heavy so is fun to see the guys struggling, but they get it up there. Its a once in a lifetime chance to see traditional Japanese culture.

Great and quiet location to get to know the area of Mount Fuji. The rooms were comfortable and there is an amazing traditional bath that you can use privately in turns. The hosts also accommodated vegan dinners upon request. The breakfast was exceptional!

The caretakers were terrific. They dropped off at the train station and onsen. One caretaker knows English well. They do laundry for you for a small fee; some rooms have a view of the Fuji. The hot bath in the facility is amazing—big rooms in Japanese style. Caretakers offered us bikes and umbrellas to protect us from the sun. Outstanding experience

Lovely guesthouse run by a small family in a quiet street of Fujikawaguchiko. The host is very hospitable and although he speaks little english, he is good with technology and will help you out wherever he can. He prepared a welcome snack and drink when you check in. The tatami room is clean and spacious and if you are lucky, comes with a view of Mt Fuji. The bathroom is traditional and has a bath which is prepared for you every night. The location is around 20min walk from the main train station and is close to local shops.

Southern Alps Kaikomagatake Foot of the Kaikoma se nachází v destinaci Hokuto a poskytuje ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a klimatizací, kola zdarma a zahradu. The owner is really kind and offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, which made getting to the guesthouse much easier. There were food and drinks in the fridge when I arrived which was a great touch! It is a lovely location in the countryside and there is plenty of nature to explore. There are a few resturants, coffee shops and convience stores in the area which walking/biking distance. Would highly recommend!

This hostel was honestly one of the best parts of our trip! Not only is it super cute and stylish, but it’s also incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need – from comfy beds and clean showers to thoughtful little touches everywhere. The staff were amazing – so warm and welcoming! They gave us tons of great local tips that made our stay even more special, and they even surprised us with some adorable little gifts that totally made our day. You can really tell they care about their guests. Whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, this place feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy, friendly spot with lots of charm!
