熱海温泉 実の別荘 features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 1.6 km of Atami Sun Beach and 27 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station. At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. We were very well received and everything was clean and tidy! Top experience

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Everything was great! Close to the train/bus station, great kitchen and living room area, has an elevator, clean spaces, and lots of tips about Takayama and day trips in the front desk area. Dorms are big and overall pretty comfortable

The owner is the soul of hospitality. The place is spotless and the bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in so far while walking the Kumano Kodo. Plus, right across the street of a real supermarket so great location.

Situated in Futami, 2.6 km from Futamiokitama Shrine and 2.8 km from Sun Arena, 民泊 二見のおうち offers a garden and air conditioning. Very authentic Japanese guest house experience with a lovely host. We stayed 3 nights and it allowed us to really explore Ise, Toba and Futamino rocks. Our host lent us bicycles which was fun to go to the rocks. It was very near a supermarket and local good Isekaya for food.

The Yamanaka are exceptional hosts making my stay one that felt as comfortable as home. They are respectful of guest’s private space while remaining accessible and helpful. Their network with the local potters is wide which serve as a great resource for guests that wants a real Tokoname ceramic experience. Located just 40 km from Nagoya Castle, B&B legare provides accommodation in Gifu with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The host was super sweet. She will make sure you make the best of your time in Gifu. I didn’t have much of an itinerary so she voluntarily made dinner and brought me to a mountaintop onsen. She will fuss over you like a mom would. I had a mosquito bite and she was so stressed! Her home was also very clean and comfortable. She made a wonderful breakfast for me before I left. This stay was one of the best memories of Japan and I hope to stay here again. Oh and she is very easy to contact with. She speaks minimal English but is very efficient over electronic communications. She also offers to drive you from to and from the station. I really can’t say enough good things!
