The mango guest house is really a little oasis on Elephantine Island. Mohammed was amazing to us and he allowed us to meet Ahmed who took us on his feluka. That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

Unlike many others, he never tried to push excursions or sell us anything. Instead, he adapted to what we wanted, offering sincere recommendations and making sure we had the best possible experience.
