Wish we stayed longer. The location is amazing, quiet but very close to the beach. The room is very spacious and very nice. The outdoor bathroom was the biggest selling point. The lady that owns it is SUPER nice.

The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. Great location, right by the beach! The beach is great for a swim and less than a 5min walk to Turtle point where you can snorkel and see fish and turtles! Great and varied breakfast with a view. The room is beautifully designed and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay!

Great place to enjoy your stay in Weligama. The hosts were very helpful and lovely. Helped us very everything that came to our mind. Our next stay in Weligama will be certainly at the same place. Good food, great time with the family at pool side and nice atmosphere overall.

I had a fantastic stay at this guest house, which is perfectly located just 5 minutes from the local train station and only 10 minutes from the beautiful Weligama beach. The host was incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met, providing a welcoming and caring atmosphere throughout our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, ideal for preparing meals, and the room was not only comfortable but also cozy and peaceful. The garden is a lovely retreat where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. What’s more, the guest house has a great community vibe, making it an ideal place to meet fellow travelers and share experiences. It was easy to connect with other digital nomads and adventurers. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great base to explore the area while having all the comforts of home!

On the other side of the street you will find the turtle beach (we saw turtles there!) • Great view from the balconies - it’s a lot of green and we saw monkeys there • The price was amazing! • the free shower gel smells good
