Very friendly and willing to help with anything. Kitchen closes at 6pm (at least on the day we were there) but they made delicious dinner for us at 7:30 pm. We had a top floor room with stunning views and a very comfortable bed. Accommodation is next to the road so can be a bit noisy at night.

Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!

Właściciel to niesamowicie ciepła osoba :) Zorganizował nam safari, pływaliśmy łódką po jeziorze, byliśmy na show tanecznym i jedliśmy lokalne jedzenie. Dodatkowo w hotelu można zjeść pyszne jedzenie gotowane przez żonę właściciela :) Zarówno śniadania i kolacje bardzo urozmaicone! Pokoje były czyste i przestronne. Łóżko bardzo wygodne i nie było owadów w środku. Na zewnątrz pięknie i dodatkowo właściciel pokazał nam owoce, które hoduję w ogrodzie. Polecam :)

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

The kindness and the hospitality of the owners, which helped us arranging everything at every hour of the day. They gave us a lot of advices about dinner places, ayurvedic massage and proper tuktuk fares. The breakfast was abundant and the owner took us to several places with his own tuktuk at an excellent fare. We felt like home!
