Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

Offering free bikes and garden view, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort is set in Habawewa, 39 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 39 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. We had an amazing experience in Wikpattu Mooklan Resort! The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!

Set within 12 km of Pidurangala Rock and 13 km of Sigiriya Rock, Swan Lake Habarana offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Habarana. Kalhara is the perfect host , highly attentive and thoughtful about every small detail. The rooms are spacious, with a minimal aesthetic, well maintained and super clean. Every meal was a lovely home cooked spread, accommodating certain dietary restrictions . One of the best stay experiences I had during my two week trip in Srilanka.

Situated in Habarana, VISU VILLA hotel features accommodation with pool with a view, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. What a place! We had the best time at Visu Villa. If you would like the planning hassle taken out of your trip for a few days, hand yourselves over to Ruwan and the team at Visu Villa. We stayed for three nights at this lovely family run oasis tucked away about a km out of Habarana. Ruwan and his sister Kawshalya made us feel so welcome and Ruwan seamlessly planned and executed the next three days for us. His attention to detail was amazing. We met the team one by one and their service was just great including jeep driver Irosh and tuk tuk driver Anthony. There is a bar, a lovely pool, home cooked food by Tharidu, great people and nice comfy rooms. If you are a fiercely independent traveller who wants to control every minute and rupee this is perhaps not the place for you. The joy of Visu Villa is trusting in Ruwan and his very fair pricing, eating the recommended food, going to the recommended places, being taken care of, having fun with the team and enjoying Sri Lankan hospitality at it's best. Thanks Ruwan and team for a truly memorable three days.

Featuring a balcony with garden views, a garden and a shared lounge, Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours can be found in Anuradhapura, close to Attikulama Tank and 2.5 km from Kada Panaha... We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Situated just 4.2 km from Anuradhapura Railway Station, Blooming Holiday Resort provides accommodation in Anuradhapura with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as full-day security. Excellent hospitality provided. Good and clean rooms. The breakfast provided was awesome and in more than sufficient quantities. All of us enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly and very welcoming. We were greeted with a welcome drink. Would surely recommend to family and friends.

Ahogy több korábbi vendég is megadta a maximális pontokat, én is azt teszem, mivel ár/érték arányban valóban hozza a maximumot. A tisztasággal nem volt probléma, a vendégszeretet kimagasló, ennek ellenére adódnak kisebb hiányosságok, amiket Mr. Upali meg is oldott. Külön kiemelem, hogy a söreimet a konyhában levő nagy hűtőszekrénybe rakhattam és onnan bármikor kivehettem :-) A Wine Stores amúgy pár perces séta, és mivel gyakorlatilag a központban van (egy kis mellékutcában), számos étterem és bolt is rendelkezésre áll. Nekünk a reggeli nem jött be annyira -amúgy szinte mindenhol helyi ételeket ettünk-, és azért az feltűnő kell hogy legyen a házigazdáknak, ha a vendég csak belekóstol és otthagyja. Ilyenkor meg kéne kérdezni, mi legyen helyette… De ez csak tanács. Sok sikert!

Attractively situated right in the heart of Anuradhapura, Sunhill Lake Tourist Rest offers lake views and a garden. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who... The owner was amazing, he gave me some great tips about the old town, how to get there and what to see, his wife was also very sweet and helped me with anything I asked. The location is also great, close to the shops and restaurants, but situated in the lake where you can watch hundreds of birds really close.
