Ubytovanie 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou sa nachádza v destinácii Nakatsugawa menej ako 1 km od miesta Toson Memorial Museum. I like how accomdating the staffs were and they even allowed us to try the Taiko drum which was a great experience.

Ubytovanie 熱海温泉 実の別荘 sa nachádza v destinácii Atami 19 min. chôdze od miesta Pláž Atami Sun Beach a 27 km od miesta Stanica Hakone-Yumoto. When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Comfortable stay at the Guesthouse. Welcomed by the staff, smooth check-in and explanation of the facility. Clean and comfortable rooms, kitchen, shower room etc. I actually loved the place very much and would book it for my next trip to Takayama.

We had a fantastic trip to the Kiso Valley and to Sakanomichi. The hosts, Ken and Yuki, were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome and comfortable! You very much felt like a cherished guest in their home. Such a lovely couple! Having now done the hike between Magome and Tsumago I would definitely recommend staying in Magome (which seemed to be the less popular choice when I was researching.) Tsumago was so charming but seemed much much sleepier - Magome is already very quiet and quaint with lots of charm. Restos/ cafes and shops in Tsumago seemed to close early or if they had sold out leaving you less options in the way of food or snacks. Not a deal breaker but just something to consider. Not sure if this was to do with the time of year - we were there in early March - but Magome was hardly bustling in comparison. Sakanomichi was lovely, beautifully finished with comfortable amenities, gloriously warm showers after a cold days hike! Ken and Yuki thank you for everything! Also, definitely pop to Hill Billy Coffee in Magome if you have time, its well worth the stop in! Delicious coffee!

From communications prior to our arrival to meeting our host and the entire stay, we had a wonderful experience! The kitchen is large and fully stocked, they have a washer and dryer, and the rooms were exactly as listed. Our host was courteous and the staff would keep the guest house super clean. They even gave us a bottle of fresh squeezed locally farmed mandarin juice, which was delicious.

The owner is the soul of hospitality. The place is spotless and the bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in so far while walking the Kumano Kodo. Plus, right across the street of a real supermarket so great location.

Ubytovanie 長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel sa nachádza v destinácii Shingu 5 min. chôdze od miesta Kamikura Shrine a 700 metrov od miesta Kumano Hayatama Taisha. Very friendly and helpful host. Run me through all the equipment and helped with my luggage and time issue. Also the room is super clean and equipped with everything you need. Definitely recommend.

Ubytovanie GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA sa nachádza v destinácii Nakatsugawa v štvrti Magome v blízkosti miesta Toson Memorial Museum a ponúka bezplatné Wi-Fi a práčku. The accommodation was clean and cosy, and Kento-san was most friendly and welcoming. Privacy was a plus point too. Highly recommend.
