熱海温泉 実の別荘 features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 1.6 km of Atami Sun Beach and 27 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station. Clean stay with the friendliest host. We enjoyed the onsen with wonderful mountain and sea views as well as an ice cream gift after bathing! The host allowed us to drop off our luggae early which freed us to stroll around the temple nearby and the rest of Atami, all of the host’s recommendations! My friends and I used the common area often as it was filled with natural light and windows across the entire span of the room. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Beautiful place. Lovely interior and very spacious. Location was great and staff were extremely kind and helpful. One of the best places to stay in Japan!

Located in Nakatsugawa, さかのみち-sakanomichi features a shared lounge, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. After reading the rave reviews, I booked this stay months in advance to make sure we would not miss the opportunity to meet Ken and Yuki and to stay at their guesthouse boasting modern facilities and balancing comfort and sleek design with traditional Japanese architecture and minimalistic and elegant interior design. At the end of a long day hiking, we were greeted with a big smile as if we'd come home to our family, a feeling that is both priceless and heatwarming. Ken's kind and welcoming nature is only rivalled by Yuki's and her sense of humor. Dinner was as delicious as our breakfast (all guests shamelessly went for seconds and some even thirds taking the lead for a brave lady I shall not name), enjoyed to the sound of Jazz standards in a communal spirit shared with the other guests, all of whom polite and considerate, as if handpicked by the hosts or perhaps instinctively mirroring their behavior. Guests do not have to wait to take a shower because there are three showers, one of which with an additional bathtub, for four rooms. Everything is impeccably clean and organized, making you feel restful instantly. So, do not hesitate to book this guesthouse as you make your way along the Old Nakasendo Road or just take a taxi to Magome and walk a few hundred meters to take photos for your Insta. Whether you fit the former or latter category, you will be treated as a family member by the kindest people we've met during our 3-week stay in Japan. I've already recommended this guesthouse to everyone I know who is planning to visiting Japan.

Boasting garden views, ゲストハウス柚 features accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace, around 200 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. The house itself is beautiful Japanese classic house, however all facilities are modern and clean!!! Down town and Hayatama shrine are located in really walkable distance from the guest house.

簡易宿所 ふくろく is located in Shingu, less than 1 km from Kamikura Shrine, a 13-minute walk from Shingu Castle Ruins Park, as well as 1.4 km from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. The location is very near JR Shingu station with restaurants, konbini and a supermarket nearby. Host is very accommodating and very helpful with all my needs.

Located in Shingu, 400 metres from Kamikura Shrine, 長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel has a garden, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. Very friendly and helpful host. Run me through all the equipment and helped with my luggage and time issue. Also the room is super clean and equipped with everything you need. Definitely recommend.

AJITO Hostel & CafeBar asub Shingus, kõigest 500 meetri kaugusel Shingu lossi varemetest. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad, baar ja terve päeva valve. what a great little place. If you have a small group, the 4 ppl room on the 3rd floor is perfect. The place has lots of great info in multiple languages and the affiliated izakaya was the perfect place to go for dinner.

Ühise puhkeruumiga Guesthouse Ise Futami asub Ises, 8,2 km kaugusel Oharai-machist, 1,9 km kaugusel Futamiokitama pühamust ja 2,5 km kaugusel Sun Arenast. Ise Grand pühamu on 8,6 km kaugusel. Great guesthouse and very friendly owner! There's a fully equipped kitchen to use freely so you can cook or have breakfast at the guesthouse^^ Very convenient location if you want to go to the beach, visit Meoto Iwa or Ise Jingu! I had the chance to meet several very friendly Japanese people here. They shared their food, snacks, and beers with me, so generous! We listened to music and we had a lot of laughs^^ After only spending 5 nights here, I already felt at home😊 If I ever travel to Japan again, I will definitely come back here!
