Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great facilities and great location to start the Nakasendo trail.

熱海温泉 実の別荘 features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 1.6 km of Atami Sun Beach and 27 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station. At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. We were very well received and everything was clean and tidy! Top experience

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Guest House Ouka is about 11mins walk from Takayama station, the route was pretty straight forward - just a straight line! The Guest House itself is cosy and well decorated. On 1/F you will find the reception counter and a home-like common area, the kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware and long dining tables, Shower rooms are just next to the kitchen. My single room was on the 2/F which was clean, warm and spacious!! (with comfy bed/ chair/ hair dryer/ mirror/ small laundry rack etc. and a warm welcome note :) Restroom/ washing machine (200yen)/ tumble dryer/ Laundry racks/ washbasins were just few steps away. Staffs were so friendly and helpful, luggage storage was also available before check in and after check out. I had a great time in Ouka and Takayama, will definitely come back next time (and stay for few more days!)

Great accommodation in such a beautiful town, we had a room with a view of the mountains, and surrounding nature. Absolutely wonderful hosts, and can recommend their delicious dinner option aswell!

7.7 km from Fuji-Q Highland, 富士山を眺められる宿 ゲストハウス花水木 is a recently renovated property situated in Nishikatsuracho and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Great stay! They have a pick up and drop off to the nearest train station. There’s a family mart next to it and 20mins walk to the train station. Highly recommended!

Set in Matsukawa, 24 km from The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, ワールドカリーの館 すぱいすろーど offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hotel located along the Oito Line that was accessible by car or taxi from Shinano-Matsukawa, Kita-Hosono or Hosono station. We had multiple email and message communications with the owners. Atsu responded to reassure that our commute concern would be solved. He would pick us up and drop off at Hosono station. The price of the hotel was very affordable and could walk to train station if having no luggage. Atsu was very accommodating to our trip plan change. He was thoughtful to drop us to the Shinano-Matsukawa station that the waiting area was warmer & was in town. Guest rooms were on the 2nd floor of a Curry Restaurant. Atsu helped carrying the suitcase up to the room & brought us furniture that we needed. He was also the chef of the restaurant. The food was yummy. We highly recommended this

Konditsioneeriga GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA asub Nakatsugawas, 100 meetri kaugusel Tosoni memoriaalmuuseumist ja Magome Wakihonjini muuseumist. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Prepared a meal of hunted boar and venison that was amazing and unlike anything we've experienced.
