Safe location and easy to walk up the nearby hill right into the center of downtown Castro. It was always very quiet here, especially at night. A nice experience to stay in a palofito (stick house).

We absolutely loved this hostel. We had room 8 with a beautiful view and a private terrace. We spent our entire rest day here enjoying the restful atmosphere and watching the tide go in and out. We made use of the lovely common spaces in the hostel as well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Chile, with hearty homemade seed bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, and eggs made to order. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Sharing mate with me, giving me a free ride inside the park looking for Pudu and so on. Really astonishing.

Sandra’s hostel was basic but very clean and cared for. The location was great for is. A short walk from the busy streets and right across the water.

Located in Ancud, in a building dating from 2018, El Urco Chiloé - Hostal y Cabaña provides a garden and guestrooms with free WiFi. The property features city and quiet street views. I loved my stay here. The room was huge and comfortable. Lots of covers, sheets, duvets to keep you warm. Very quiet area, perfect for a good sleep. The view from the room was super nice - looked out over the water and the cemetery. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, etc and the basic cooking supplies were very helpful (Oil, salt). There was tea and coffee available which is also a nice touch. Bathrooms were well, hot shower, clean, well stocked. I would recommend staying here. And only a ten min walk to the bus station !
