The house is charming and very well cared for, and the rooms are nicely decorated, squeaky clean, and spacious. Very lovely family, friendly and attentive to your every need. In the morning we were treated to a great breakfast, with eggs, fruits, and local dishes, juice, tea, coffee included. Not to mention the nice view from the terrace where the breakfast is served. It is a pity we stayed only for 1 night, I would love to stay longer. The location is great if you are a pedestrian and a bit of a nightmare if you are driving a car. Getting there on narrow steep brick roads was a challenge, but when we got stuck, they came to our help, leading us through the street labyrinth. It is a short walk uphill to the castle, while the bazaar and restaurants are just around the corner.

Dotato di una terrazza, Guest House Emily è un alloggio situato a Gjirokastër (Qarku i Gjirokastrës), a 44 km da Lago di Zaravina. This was our favorite place in our whole trip. After a long drive from Tirana, the view was absolutely breath-taking. The owner helped us park right away (easy parking in front of the building) and greeted us with fruit. The rooms are spotless and comfortable! The restaurant across the street was awesome and the breakfast was great, too! Only a few steps from the bazaar and a short hike to Ali Pasha Bridge. The view alone is worth the trip. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The breakfasts are plentiful, tasty and generous, and the smell of traditional Albanian donuts is pleasant in the morning. The view from the balcony is magnificent, offering a beautiful perspective on the mountains and the city’s castle. I highly recommend this charming place, managed by great people!

They didn’t speak English, but we were able to communicate with their daughter over WhatsApp who was responsive and provided great information on our stay. We appreciated the location which was walking distance to old town. The views of both the mountains and the castle were incredible. The breakfast was delicious and generous, made with organic produce from their garden, and served with love. Highly recommend!
