What a great place to stay if you’re planning a safari in Yala National Park. You can also book a safari through them. We had the pleasure of staying at their newest tent (they currently have 3 of them and some lodges). The tent is very large offers everything you need, there’s a fan, lots of wall sockets, two beds, water cooker and a bathroom attached. There’s no warm water, but you will need the cool shower :) the climate is always hot and humid. Sleeping in the tent at night with the blinds open was very comfortable. Also, there’s lots of peacocks around, it is a joy to watch them from the tent. They recently completed a new area for breakfast which looks fantastic and is very spacious. Everything around the place felt very high-class, which we did not expect, especially at this price point. The staff was extremely attentive and adjusted to your needs (e.g. breakfast time for safari). We felt like in a 5-star hotel :)

This features a super luxury tent with private plunge, pool and private tree house. This tent has a seating area, air conditioning and electric kettle. Everything is perfect at Tribe Yala. It is an incredible and unique glamping experience. The “tents” (it is more of a 5 star hotel suite) are clean, spacious, fully equipped (private wifi and AC) and comfortable. We also had a private jacuzzi. Besides, the food is exceptional (one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka). We did the one day safari and it was certainly one of our favorite days of our entire trip. You get to see many animals while being accompanied by a wildlife specialist (ours was Kusar and he is very knowledgeable and friendly). Staff from the hotel met us inside the national park to bring us a delicious Sri Lankan lunch. Finally, the staff of the hotel is amazing. This tent features air conditioning. This tent features air conditioning. The Luxury Tent can accommodate 3 persons with one extra bed. It is equipped with an attached bathroom having running water. What's there not to like? The room or the tent, while it's basic, it's self sufficient bug free with an ensuite shower and toilet. The grounds around the camp is spacious and a true immersion in mother nature. The food is authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The 4 dogs are therapeutic to stroke. The safari tour was guided by Sudesh who has eagle's vision for spotting wild life from miles away. He'd helped us to spot snake, monitor lizard, all kinds of birds, crocodiles and definitely a leopard resting on a tree 20m away.

We initially thought this booking would be similar to other standard camping sites, but we were delighted to discover that this is genuine mobile camping inside Yala National Park—a truly unique offering. We understand that securing the necessary government permissions is a lengthy process, often requiring at least a week's advance notice. Although we made our reservation just one day prior, the team worked hard to coordinate everything. While this meant we had to wait a few extra hours at the main gate, the effort was absolutely worthwhile, providing an amazing, lifetime experience deep in the wild. We enjoyed a full-day and a half-day safari, and during both excursions, we were lucky enough to consistently spot leopards, elephants, and a wealth of other animals. The entire experience was incredibly rewarding, and we are 100% satisfied with our choice. Thank you to the dedicated team for taking such great care of us during our stay inside the park.

Amazing deluxe room in Green Villa. Spacious, clean and good AC. Family very friendly, relaxed, flexible. We were generously treated with mangoes and other fruits from the garden. They have over 5 species of mango (consider it a local mango tasting). Swimming pool clean and close to the lake. Kind dogs that help protect from a friendly elephant visit (who also wanted a nightly mango tasting).
