The lady at the reception was so helpful, kind and generous. Learning that I can eat only gluten-free, she offered very nice options for breakfast, which was quite satisfactory. Fantastic place, what a unique atmosphere.... great staff, very nice breakfast. The place is not far from kawasan and it is located next to the pier from which you can get to many main attractions. The local restaurant in the corner next to the phranakorn is great and very recommended as well. Definitely coming back there on our next visit in Thailand

Villa Mungkala was charming in its old style and a refreshing change from the large, often sterile modern hotels. Also the personal touch of Timmy was fantastic. All the amenities that were needed were there. The location was also close to many temples and other places of interest, the city centre, the river, and good restaurants.

Lots of choice and variety at breakfast. Helpful and courteous staff. Pool was nice for cooling down after a day in the city. They were willing to store our luggage when we arrived earlier than check-in so that we could go about our day.
